Patrick Kane Will Attend Chicago Blackhawks Training Camp

The team confirms the star, facing a grand jury for rape allegations, will practice with the team despite the uncertainty.

Patrick Kane will attend Chicago Blackhawks training camp, which begins Friday at Notre Dame, the team has confirmed for beat writer Mark Lazerus, reporting for the Chicago Sun-Times.

Many of the players who helped the Blackhawks win a third Stanley Cup championship in six years — Brandon Saad, Patrick Sharp among them — have been traded, and Kane’s future remains murky as a New York grand jury considers allegations of rape lodged against him by a young woman he met in a bar and took home.

After winning the Cup, the Blackhawks were listed at 7-1 favorites to repeat in 2016.
