Person In Minivan Followed, Talked To Student On Way To Bus Stop: TPPD
Tinley Park police told District No. 161 officials they will have extra patrols in the area after the Tuesday incident.

TINLEY PARK, IL — A Summit Hill student was followed and talked to by a person in a silver minivan while on their way to the bus stop Tuesday morning, school officials told parents.
According to District No. 161, the student was walking to their stop near the corner of Black Oak Avenue and Timbers Pointe Drive when a newer model silver van with Illinois plates pulled up next to the student and began talking to them.
The student did not know the person in the car and told police there was a "noticeable dent" on the passenger side door.

Tinley Park police are investigating the incident and told district officials they will have additional patrols near schools and the bus stop Tuesday. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call Tinley Park investigators at 708-444-5300.
