Police Release Images Of 2 Men Wanted In Tinley Park Armed Robbery
According to police, 2 men approached the Speedway gas station Saturday morning but only 1 went inside and showed a weapon.

TINLEY PARK, IL — Police have released two images of men wanted in connection to an armed robbery over the weekend in Tinley Park.
According to police, two men approached the Speedway at 183rd Street and Harlem Avenue at around 3:30 a.m. Saturday but only one went inside. The man inside the store showed the clerk a small semi-automatic handgun, police said, and took cash.
No one was reported injured during the robbery.

Police said the robbery took place Saturday at 3:30 a.m.Deputy Chief of Operations Lawrence Rafferty told Patch the men got into a car parked in the lot of the gas station and fled the scene before police could arrive.

"There haven't been any arrests, but we are following up on some good investigative leads," Rafferty said Monday.

In two images given to Patch Tuesday, security cameras from the gas station show two men outside. One man appears to be in a light-colored hooded sweatshirt with a black face mask and red pants. The other has on a white hooded sweatshirt with black pants with a white stripe down the sides.

Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to contact Tinley Park police. Store officials did not immediately respond to Patch's questions on how much cash was taken.
