Pride Artisan Market To Debut At Tinley Park Brewery
The market will be held at Soundgrowler Brewing on Saturday, June 8.

TINLEY PARK, IL — Artists will set up indoors and outdoors at Soundgrowler Brewing on Saturday, June 8, for a special Pride-themed artisan market.
This inaugural event, celebrating love, diversity, and community, will feature a special mix of local artists curated by the Streetz Artz Alliance, showcasing a diverse array of handmade and original artwork. The brewery is located at 8201 183rd St., in Tinley Park.
"We plan to have over four dozen artists set up inside the brewery and outside in the beer garden, offering everything from self-care items and décor to apparel, jewelry, cookies, crochet, tarot readings, and plants," he said.

The event will be held from 12 to 5 p.m., is all-ages, free to attend, and no tickets are required.
The artisan market boasts a curated mix of artists, including handmade artwork, tarot readers, comic creators, 3D printers, and original painters. Many of these artists support charitable causes, adding a philanthropic touch to the event. Newcomers to the venue include Ann & Joy’s Gifts, Chomp Monsters, Doom Sauce, Cat and Kestrel, Nethercrafts, Jakub Advanced Manufacturing Inc., Topsy-Turvy Totems, and Dye the Day Away. Local talents from the Tinley Park area such as Pep Abysmal, Libby McArthur Art, and Topsy-Turvy Totems will also be featured.

The event will take place rain or shine, with provisions to move artists indoors in case of dangerous weather conditions.

"The safety of our patrons and artists is our top priority," Streetz said.
Soundgrowler Brewing will complement the market with a lineup of drinks, including their flagship beers Tortilla Hands and Orange Haze. Non-alcoholic options like Coca-Cola, Jarritos Mandarin, and Jarritos Fruit Punch will also be available. For cider enthusiasts, Blake's Hard Cider in flavors of Imperial Apple and Triple Jam are available. Visitors looking for something unique can try the Bike Shorts radler, a blend of Jarritos and beer.
The brewery's kitchen will be open throughout the event, serving a variety of food options such as street tacos, burritos, nachos, and more.
"Soundgrowler tacos pair perfectly with a Mexican lager and some art shopping," said Streetz.
Several vendors will cater to pets, including Bosco's All Natural Dog & Cat Holistic Store, Regal Mutt Bakery & Boutique, and Box Chompers. The beer garden is pet-friendly, although only service animals are allowed inside the brewery.
The Soundgrowler Brewing Pride Market is set to feature a diverse group of talented artists, each bringing their unique creations and stories to the event. Among them is FrankenWerks Studios, known for its eclectic range of original art, from ghostly sculptures to vibrant paintings, magnets, and upcycled vintage jewelry. This artist's support for Haunters Against Hate, an LGBTQIA+ charity, highlights their commitment to social causes.

Ten Cups Tarot offers insightful and compassionate tarot readings aimed at healing and clarity, Streetz said. Reader Teagan's empathetic approach to tarot, providing personalized readings for individuals and couples, has garnered a loyal following. Dedication to her craft ensures that each reading is a unique and supportive experience for her clients, Streetz said.

JoJo Coco Craft Company, based in Downers Grove, specializes in handmade jewelry and seasonal specialty items. With a keen eye for detail and a passion for crafting, JoJo Coco's offerings range from delicate earrings to elaborate necklaces, ensuring there's something special for every visitor. This artist's dedication to their community is evident in their thoughtfully curated collections.
Chomp Monsters creates upcycled pet toys from feed bags, embodying a sustainable and creative approach to pet care. Their quirky and functional designs, which include some 3D-printed animals, have made them a beloved name in the South Side, where pet owners appreciate the blend of practicality and fun in their products.
Metta Clay offers fantasy-inspired jewelry and decor, perfect for those who love the whimsical and the peculiar. With creations ranging from dragon necklaces to sculpted mushroom cloches, Metta Clay's art captivates the imagination. Their dedication to ethically sourced materials and unique designs has resonated strongly with patrons.

The Streetz Artz Alliance, consisting of 350 artists and crafters from across the Chicago suburbs, NW Indiana, and southern Wisconsin, is dedicated to promoting local artists and fostering community engagement through art-centric events.
Streetz plans a "day of celebration, creativity, and community spirit" at the Pride Market.
