Quintet New Kids on the Block hit the scene in the early-'80s with members Jordan Knight, Jonathan Knight, Joey McIntyre, Donnie Wahlberg and Danny Wood, but they didn't start Hangin' Tough on the airwaves until the album of the same name in 1988. They went on to show they had The Right Stuff with hits like I'll Be Loving You, Tonight, and Please Don't Go Girl. They were nominated for a Grammy for their music video accompanying Hangin' Tough. They have nine studio albums, 17 compilations, and 44 singles and EPs, according to website Discogs. They had three, no. 1 hits in the Billboard Top 100, and nine top 10 hits. Their latest album—a 15th anniversary version of the 2008 album The Block—will come out Nov. 3, as The Block Revisited, the band announced in September. The album celebrated the band's return to the music scene 15 years ago, and the refreshed version promises fans four previously unreleased songs, additional bonus material and a new remix of their single “Dirty Dancing” featuring Joshua, DK and Dino from K-pop supergroup Seventeen. The group has sold more than 80 million albums worldwide. The tour marks their first almost exclusively outdoor venue tour since 1990.

Tour is a nod to the band's tour of the same name then, which took place at the top of their success and played to sold-out crowds at venues like Dodgers Stadium, Giants Stadium, and many others. More than 3 million attended shows on that tour, according to Live Nation.

"The true 'magic' of this tour is in the music, the moments and the memories that we get to create —and recreate—with our amazing fans each night," said Donnie Wahlberg to Live Nation. "Feeling all the nostalgic feels of the original Magic Summer, with the bond that we’ve shared throughout the years, will make for a most magical time indeed."
