The lineup that makes up the Kevin Cronin Band is the same lineup that toured as REO Speedwagon in 2024. The group ceased touring under the former name as of January 1st of this year, citing “irreconcilable differences” on social media.
Meanwhile, Styx is also using the summer tour to celebrate their own new beginnings.
On May 28th, Styx officially announced their 18th studio album, Circling From Above. The new concept album is set for release on streaming platforms July 18th, with CD and vinyl copies available for purchase now on StyxWorld.com.
Alongside their album’s announcement, Styx shared the advance-single “Build & Destroy” with an AI-conceptual video, which can be viewed on YouTube.
Although new music helps keep a band’s creative juices flowing, both Styx and Kevin Cronin aren’t going to forget the songs that helped their rise to stardom as they tour the country in 2025.
Styx will be playing their Grand Illusion album in its entirety, while the Kevin Cronin Band will play REO Speedwagon’s Hi Infidelity in full sequence. Both groups will also include a number of their other classic hits from different albums.
The tour kicked off in Greenville, SC on May 28th and is scheduled to conclude on August 24th in Milwaukee, WI.
Tickets for the August 23rd show in Tinley Park are available for purchase on Ticketmaster. Tickets start at only $30.
