Masked Suspects Brandish Gun During Attempted Theft: Tinley Police
Police said the owner confronted the would-be car thieves, who fled in a white Chrysler 300.
TINLEY PARK, IL — Three days after a woman's car was stolen at gunpoint in Tinley Park, police say a trio of suspects attempted to steal another victim's car on Wednesday, this time in broad daylight.
Police said at around 11 a.m., the victim spotted three men trying to steal his 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk in the 15000 block of Harlem Avenue.
According to officials, the victim confronted the three men, who were wearing masks, and one of them brandished a gun before all three got into another vehicle and fled. The victim's car was not taken, police said.

Police said the suspects drove away in a white Chrysler 300. No information on their race or ages was available.
In another incident earlier this week, a car thief was successful at stealing a woman's vehicle in Tinley.

A woman told police that on Sunday night, a man in a black ski mask stuck a gun in her face at a gas pump outside a 7-Eleven at 159th Street and 76th Avenue, then allowed her backseat passengers to get out of her Ford Edge before fleeing in it.
