"We worked basically around the clock, all hands on deck, from Nonno Mario and Nonna Carmella in the kitchen from the rest of the family and friends elsewhere," Rubino told Patch.
The community came out and the Rubino family did what they do best—treat people like their family. Rubino's started in a 1000-square-foot building, quickly outgrew their location and moved into the what's now known as the Rubino Plaza located at 16635 Oak Park Ave.
"Today, we stand proud on our values of serving our community and the south suburbs for nearly three decades," the Rubino family said. "We want to once again extend our gratitude to our customers, employees, and family. The Rubino Family stands committed to our community, local organizations, and will always hold a deep root in Tinley Park."
Customers are invited to stop in on Tuesday, August 27 for a 30-year anniversary coffee mug, while supplies last.
