TINLEY PARK, IL — Tinley Park's Soundgrowler Brewing, 8201 183rd St Suite P, will host live music and an artisan market Saturday, July 13, to celebrate their seventh anniversary. Special beer tappings, tacos, tarot and art will also be there. All events are free to attend, and the live music shows are free as well.

"We couldn't be more excited to celebrate seven years of Soundgrowler Brewing in Tinley Park," said Arturo Lamas, the brewery's owner. "We're looking forward to expanding our brand in Chicagoland stores, bars, and restaurants by offering even more quality ales and lagers."

Last year, Soundgrowler hosted several live bands with a stage set up in the parking lot. This year, they are taking things up a notch with no cover charges, all live music held inside, special beer releases, more artists, and a food menu designed to satisfy both hunger and thirst.

"We are tapping Skaterade (Frankonian Style Rotbier) July 10, in preparation for the anniversary events," said Becca Scamardo, social media/marketing manager at Soundgrowler Brewing. "We will have beer in kegs as well as can pours outside for the event. For food, we will have tacos, burritos, tortas, nachos, and elote."

"Last year Soundgrowler let the Streetz Artz Alliance have 10 artists as part of the anniversary events," said John Streetz, head of the Streetz Artz Alliance. "This year, they are allowing us to have over two dozen local artists to help celebrate. Soundgrowler is one of our favorite venues and always supports the art scene through artisan markets, their monthly artist wall, and instructional classes hosted by local artists."

Starting at 4 p.m., the brewery invites you to enjoy a "sick lineup" of free live music. The schedule is as follows:

4 p.m.: Shrineburner: A sonic glacier of doom from Chicago, featuring crushing riffs and seething melodies.
5 p.m.: Pale Horseman: A Chicago Sludge metal band established in 2011, with themes of apocalypse, depression, sorrow, drugs, misanthropy, and the Book of Revelation.
6 p.m.: Coyote Man: A Chicago-based instrumental band with progressive and metal flair, inspired by a Native American tale about a god named "Coyote Man."
7 p.m.: Huntsmen: An Americana Metal & Doom band from Chicago, currently signed to Prosthetic Records, with their latest album, The Dry Land, released in 2024.

The art market, curated by the Streetz Artz Alliance, will feature a variety of handmade items and treats, including vegan cupcakes, boozy ice cream, dog treats, gemstones, jewelry, original art, tarot readings, tarot decks, tie-dye apparel, crocheted creatures, and more. Attendees can also find band-themed apparel, resin Ouija boards, pickles, cat-themed coasters, 3D-printed items, wooden decor, wood swords, phone stands, and elaborate tumblers.

All artists will be set up outside, except for Jonathan Grimm Art, who will be inside near the entrance to the barrel room. All live music will be held inside the barrel room.
