Tinley Park Man, 27, Guilty In Fatal Battery Of New Lenox Man, 59
Jacob Bean shoved another man in the chest, causing him to fall and hit his head. The victim died from his injuries.

TINLEY PARK, IL — A Tinley Park man was convicted Thursday in the 2022 battery of a New Lenox man that led to the victim's death, the Will County State's Attorney's office said Friday.
Jacob Bean, 27, was found guilty Thursday of two counts of aggravated battery, following a two-day bench trial before Circuity Judge Carmen Goodman, Will County State's Attorney James Glasgow said.
On May 29, 2022, Tinley Park police were called to a home in the 8600 block of Brookside Glen Drive for a report of a battery. Police found the victim, Frank Stiso, 59, of New Lenox, lying on the street unconscious behind his vehicle with bleeding to the back of his head and blood on the pavement.

Stiso suffered major trauma and was transported to Silver Cross Hospital, where he was diagnosed with a skull fracture and brain bleeding. He died from his injuries June 1, 2022.
Police previously said Stiso was driving near Bean's home when he got into an argument with Bean.

Multiple witnesses told police they saw Bean push Stiso in the chest, causing him to fall and hit his head. Video surveillance captured the argument that led to Stiso’s death.
Bean is eligible for a sentence of 2 to 5 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.
Sentencing is set for Sept. 12, 2024.
