Tinley Park 'Oktoberfest' Kicks Off Friday: What To Expect
The festival will start this Friday at 5 p.m. in the north parking lot of the 80th Avenue Metra Station.

TINLEY PARK, IL — Autumn is just around the corner and the Tinley Park Chamber of Commerce is hosting its annual "Oktoberfest" to celebrate.
The festival will kick off this Friday and run through Sunday at the 80th Avenue Metra Train Station parking lot, located at 18001 S. 80th Avenue, Tinley Park. Those who attend will hear live music, try food from local businesses, play games and ride the carnival rides from Windy City Amusements.
"Enjoy authentic German food, a carnival, vendor fair, traditional and modern musical entertainment, ceremonial keg tapping, food and beer from local vendors," the chamber wrote on its website. "

Local brewers that will be in attendance include Banging Gavel, Hailstorm Brewing Co., Soundgrowler Brewing Co., The Open Bottle Tinley Park and 350 Brewing Company.

FRIDAY
The Schnitzels: 5 p.m. – 6:45 p.m.
Final Say: 7 p.m. – 10 p.m.
SATURDAY
Squeeze Box Heroes: 1:45 p.m.– 2:45 p.m.
Billy Boys 3:30 PM – 6:30 PM
Bratwurst Brothers 7:00 – 10:00 PM
SUNDAY
Tinley Park High School Band: 1 p.m. – 1:45 p.m.
Frank K: 2 p.m. – 3 p.m.
The Walk-Ins: 3 p.m. – 6 p.m.
Carnival rides do come with a fee. The afternoon unlimited ride specials will be held Saturday and Sunday, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., for $25. Evening unlimited ride specials include Friday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
According to the chamber's website, the carnival's hours of operation are:
- Friday, 5 p.m to 10 p.m.
- Saturday, 1 p.m. to 10 p.m.
- Sunday, 1 p.m. to closing.
The chamber's website states that although masks are not required at outdoor events under the Aug. 30 mask mandate, they are still "strongly encouraged in crowded outdoor settings like festivals and concerts as well as for activities that require close contact with people who are not vaccinated."
