Tinley Park PD Hiring Lateral Patrol Officer

TINLEY PARK, IL — The Tinley Park Police Department is accepting applications for lateral patrol officer, now through August 16, the department announced.

The position is full-time, with a pay range of $38.31 - $52.71 hourly. Work may include routine patrol, investigation, and traffic control duties in a car or on foot. All full-time employees in this position are required to reside within 30 miles from any border of Tinley Park within 12 months of employment date. Residency in Indiana is not permitted.

Applicants must be at least 21 and no more than 34 years of age as of August 16, 2023. Applicants with military experience and prior employment experience as Tinley Park Patrol Officer may be entitled to an exception to this requirement. He or she must have fulfilled the requirements of the Illinois Police Training Act and have been employed as a full-time Police Officer for at least two years in another law enforcement agency.
