Tinley Park Seeks Senior Commission Volunteers
Those interested in the role can apply over email by Sept. 17, according to the village.

TINLEY PARK, IL — The Village of Tinley Park is looking for volunteers to serve on the Senior Services Commission, according to an email sent out by the village.
According to the announcement, the Senior Services Commission is charged with fostering the development of senior services within the Village; communicating to the Village Board those areas concerning senior services; and developing a close working relationship with local providers striving to develop a seamless network of services that defines and meets the needs of senior citizens.
"The Senior Services Commission encourages the spirit of volunteerism, recognizes the contributions of senior citizens, and facilitates the participation and utilization of this most valuable resource," the village wrote. "Meetings are held at 3 p.m. the first Wednesday of the month in the Kallsen Center at Tinley Park Village Hall."

Anyone interested can send an email to Lisa Valley at lvalley@tinleypark.org by Friday, Sept. 17 to be considered for one of the open positions, according to the announcement.
