Tinley Park Trustees Approve Zoning Change For New Fire Station

Construction for the new fire station is set for April.

TINLEY PARK, IL — Tinley Park’s trustees unanimously approved special requests that include bigger driveways for a new Brementowne Estates fire station.

The vote was 6 to 0. Trustee John Curran was absent.

The village plans to demolish the 45-year-old fire station at 7825 167th Street and replace it with a 10,000-square foot, one-story building.

The new building will be given a "residential feel" with a red brick facade with gray accents. A patio, generator and trash areas will be concealed with matching brick walls.

The ordinance was passed without discussion.
