Tinley Park Voters Let's Make this Election Make the Changes We Need!

What we have now doesn't work for the majority of the population. If you are not o e of Glotz "chosen few" you probably are not very happy.

Well, we are a little more than a week away from the election. I have lived in this area for 51 years, 27 of those years in Tinley Park. It seems since about 2016 a lot of this world changed and not necessarily for the better. What used to be "tabu" is now getting to be our daily "normal". Nothing seems to be out of the question anymore. I am not a prude, and I am not naive by any stretch of the imagination, but sometimes, I just can't believe what some people will do to further their agendas. It seems like the days of being nice to one another and helping your neighbor if you can, have gone the way of the Hula Hoop. It almost seems like today if you don't get out of the way, you will be run over.

Why does it seem like almost everybody is just money hungry and power hungry, or both. Nobody thinks twice about screwing their neighbor if they think they can gain something from it. Many times, it seems some do it just for the sport of it, with not really gaining anything, at least in the average person's mind.

So, that brings us to politics in Tinley Park. The first problem we have here is that more than 80% of the residents don't even care enough about to vote. It is a damn shame that less than 20% of the voters determine who runs this town. That is just Crazy! We have a candidate in Tinley that has raised over $500,000. That is crazy for a relatively, small town mayoral election. I can remember when a certain peanut farmer put up a million dollars of his own money and won the U.S. Presidency. As it turns out he wasn't the best president ever, but he certainly was one of the very best human beings, at least in my lifetime. Well, we sure don't have to worry about saying that about our current mayor. Mayor Glotz ran on a platform of no more gaming, and nor more "Pay to Play". What a total joke that was. All we see in Tinley now is Gaming and more "Pay to Play every day. It is a damn joke!

When Glotz first got active in our town he, Shaw, Stuckly, and some more of their friends were involved in a Racial Discrimination law Suit Verdict that cost our village millions of dollars. Yes I know that insurance paid for a portion of it, but that isn't really the point now, is it?

To me is pretty easy to see that Glotz found out very early that "Play to Pay" could be very lucrative to him and his cronies. It seems like the importance of anything relevant in this town to the general population, has taken a back seat. I guess a lot of folks are ok with having the best politicians that money can buy. It used to be called bribes or graft, and politicians used to go to jail for it. Now, thanks to the Supreme Court it has become perfectly legal. It may be legal, but it sure as hell isn't ethical in most people's minds. Is this what happens when certain people get into power and money becomes their God? I think that is part of it, but a lot of it has to do with what is "acceptable" in today's world. It seems like in today's world, people push the envelope and unfortunately new highs and/or lows are established all the time. Just because it happens doesn't mean we have to accept it!

When Glotz's Daughter left the keys in her car, it got stolen. So, Glotz sprung into action. He had a baseball bat in his personal truck. So, he forced two Tinley Park Police Officers to accompany on an excursion to Calumet City to find his daughter's car. Yes, this silly man actually brought a bat to what easily could have turned into a GUN FIGHT. He not only endangered his life, but also the lives of the two officers that he forced to go with him. Glotz tried to do a little "Glotz Spin" on the story and told everybody that his daughter had been carjacked. Was he looking for sympathy, or was just trying to justify his idiotic actions?

Why did the Mayor and his puppets give $500,000 to Durbins to move out of a building that they never owned? Why did they pay $200,000 for the "Teehans" name? Why is the Village even in the Hospitality Business?

Most of us have heard of "Shovel Ready" projects, but Glotz and his puppets coined a new phrase specifically for Lennys. It is called "Liquor and Gaming Ready". Yes, Lennys had Gaming and Liquor Licenses awarded long before anything else happened at 183rd and LaGrange Rd. Lennys also had the good fortune to have Glotz lobby Cook County for a lower priced Tax Status on his property that is usually reserved for "Blighted Properties". I don't think that this property is really blighted. What most people don't understand is when that happens, just like TIF districts, the Taxing Bodies suffer because the businesses are not paying their fair share. Somebody has to pay for services, and that "somebody" is you and me.

In my opinion Glotz has been setting new lows on a pretty steady basis. I really don't believe that he cares very much at all about the majority of the people of Tinley Park. In my eyes, everything he does seems self-serving for Glotz and his team and the folks that monetarily support him and his agenda. He is drunk with power and thinks that he can never be wrong, no matter how underhanded his ideas seem to be.

As long as I have followed him, I knew that he was self-centered and one of the worst liars I have ever known. If you are not seeing it, you are not looking very hard. Most of the time he gets away with his constant deception. His whole team is nothing but a bunch of yes men, and puppets. You can be sure that every one of them is getting something from their affiliation with this liar. It may be something like Health Insurance like in the case of Colleen Sullivan. Village manager Pat Carr told me that even part-time village employees can get health insurance as long as they are willing to pay for it. Pat said that is true in Colleen's case. So, I have a problem with Carr's claim because the Village web site says that it is part of her compensation package. So, either pat lied to me or that village web site is lying. Since he is the village manager, the buck should stop with him. In my opinion, Carr lies almost as Glotz.
Glotz hates anybody who does not agree with his sick ideology.

He has a lot of good people blocked from just about every Facebook page in Tinley, has hurt people in many other ways. He has taken "revenge" to a whole new level in this Village. Something new he just started is blocking people from the Tinley Park Government Page here on FB. He seems to have some sick notion that the first amendment only works for him and his minions. Free speech is only for him and his team.

At the C.O.W meeting Glotz was served by a "ninja type" process server. Glotz seemed appalled according to the Grandstand post he made here on the Patch. I don't think he used his real name but IYKYK! Originally the "good part" of the COW meeting on UTUBE, was at 13 minutes into the meeting now it is 4 minutes into the meeting. Well at least he was "properly served"!

If you don't know by now Glotz, and some of his good friends were named as parties in a suit filed by Mike Hastings. If you can find it, read it. It is a very enjoyable read. Also named as the person who allegedly bankrolled the operations in question, was yet another do-gooder, who isn't so good, Tim Ozinga. Yes, that Tim, Ozinga. I am guessing that this may have something to do why Tim suddenly resigned from his job post as a State of Illinois Representative. This was a civil suit which is different in some ways from a criminal suit. In a Civil Suit, you do not have to establish beyond a shadow of a doubt the accusations, like in a criminal suit. Mike Hastings and his lawyers went WAY out of their way to stress that Glotz's actions had nothing at all to do with his duties as the Mayor of Tinley Park. So, the fact that Glotz is accused of doing the wrongdoing as an individual and not as an employee of the village, we as taxpayers should not have to pay for his defense. The law enforcement agencies are not done with their investigations, so there is a pretty good chance that Glotz may be charged criminally.

So, in closing, c'mon folks get out and vote. If you don't get around well, you can still call county board of elections until March 17 to receive a pre-paid mail-in ballot. This is for cook county. I am not sure about Will County. We don't need nasty people like this running our government for their own gain. VOTE, VOTE, VOTE The future of our town depends on it!
