Tinley's Electoral Board Will Decide Tuesday Who Is On The Ballot

A rare meeting of Tinley's electoral board will rule on petition objections to decide which trustee candidates will be on April's ballot.

TINLEY PARK, IL — Candidates for Tinley Park trustee will learn whether they made the ballot for April's election in a rare meeting Tuesday of the village's electoral board.

Several people challenged three of the eight candidates' petitions. Independent candidates Brian Godlewski, Jeffrey Mech and Christopher Cwik are all under review.

Members of the electoral board could not determine the validity of two objections and asked the Cook County Clerk's office for help, the Chicago Tribune reported. A final decision will be made Tuesday night.

William Brennan, Diane Galante and Michael Mueller also are running under the One Tinley Park slate. That was established by Trustee Michael Glotz and Village Clerk Kristin Thirion. Two others on the Concerned Citizens for Tinley Park slate, which Mayor Jacob Vandenberg formed in 2016, also are running.

Trustees John Curran, Michael Mangin, Michael Pannitto and Brian Younker all are up for re-election in April.
