Tinley's Park District Hosts Annual Family Camp Out In July

TINLEY PARK, IL — Grab your camping gear and head to Community Park on July 19 for an annual overnight community camp out hosted by the Tinley Park-Park District.

Participants can begin setting up tents or pop-ups at 4:30 p.m., then get wristbands and head for the pool. White Water Canyon Water Park will be open to campers until 8 p.m.

Moonlight activities include a visit from Big Run Wolf Ranch, where you can meet a wolf, skunk and other critters. There will be a campfire with s’mores, camp crafts, stargazing and a late-night movie on an outdoor screen. Campers also will be invited to enjoy a continental breakfast in the morning before heading home.

Registration is available in person at the Tony Bettenhausen Rec Center, 8125 W. 171st or at www.tinleyparkdistrict.org. There are limited campsites available and they fill fast so do not wait to register!
