1 Injured In Shooting At Vernon Hills Shopping Center: Police
Police are searching for the gunman following the shooting near Route 60 and Milwaukee Avenue Thursday night.
VERNON HILLS, IL — Police are searching for a gunman accused of opening fire at a shopping center in Vernon Hills Thursday night. WGN is reporting a male victim was shot several times and at the Hawthorn Hills Shopping Center, near Route 60 and Milwaukee Avenue, and was later taken to the hospital.
Police say a search for the gunman is underway but police said there does not appear to be any immediate threat to the area, according to WGN.
Residents are asked to avoid the area due to increased police activity.
