10th Annual Illinois Solar Tour
Learn ways to be energy independent at your home or business.
Home and business owners with renewable energy installations will open their homes to the public to share their passion, knowledge and experience of owning and living with renewable energy. Join the Illinois Solar Tour on Saturday Oct. 1st from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Visitors will see examples of the use of solar energy at the free self-guided tour and learn about costs, processes and environmental benefits. Also, from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 3, the Illinois Smart Solar Alliance will hold an information meeting at the College of Lake County campus, 1120 S. Milwaukee Ave., Vernon Hills.
