All You Need to Know About Oktoberfest in Vernon Hills

Here is everything you need to know about this weekend's Oktoberfest celebration in Vernon Hills.

When and where?: The 10th Annual Oktoberfest will be held on Sept. 24 from 3 to 10 p.m. at the Vernon Hills Metra Station, located on U.S. Route 45.

What will be happening? There will be food, beer and free entertainment. Free hay rides, kids crafts, pumpkins to paint and tree pickups (while supplies last) sponsored by the Vernon Hills Park District. Food will be prepared and sold by your local nonprofit organization. Beer (Blue Moon and Miller), coffee, pop, and water will also be served.

Entertainment Schedule:

• 3 - 5:00 pm - Twist and Shout Balloonist
• 3:00 - Free pumpkins to paint (while supplies last)
• 3:00 - 5:00 pm - Face Painting sponsored by Tricoci University Beauty Culture
• 3:00 - Free Kids Crafts (while supplies last)
• 4 - 10:00 pm - Free Hay Rides sponsored by the Vernon Hills Park District and Free trees
• 3 - 7:00 pm - Record a Hits - Inflatable's
• 5 - 7:00 pm - Hunter the Magician
• 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM UFC (Ultimate Freaking Cover Band) Sound and Lights by R & R Sound Productions
