Do you have unused glasses taking up space?
The Vernon Hills Lions Club will help them get to someone who can put them to good use. Just leave them in the collection box in the lobby of the Vernon Hills Village Hall.
"Lions accept prescription and reading glasses, sunglasses and plastic and metal frames. Children's glasses are especially needed," according to the Lions Clubs International website.
Donated glasses will be taken to a regional recycling center, where they will be cleaned, sorted by prescription strength, packaged and sent to developing countries, the organization explains on its website.
