From the popular Banana Derby, featuring monkeys as jockeys on racing dogs, to a competition to see who has the best Sasquatch Call, there's plenty of entertainment to be found at this year's Lake County Fair.
The festivities begin June 24 and run through July 28 in Grayslake.
The fair will be open from 10 a.m. - 10 p.m. July 24-25, 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. July 26-27, and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. July 28. Daily admission is $8 Wednesday through Friday for ages 13 and over, and $10 for Saturday and Sunday. Children ages 6-12, along with seniors, are just $5 each day.
