Libertyville Man Accused of Bomb Threat Remains in Jail on $25K Bond

A 48-year-old Libertyville man who is accused of calling police to report heΒ planted three bombsΒ on the Summer Celebration grounds earlier this monthΒ remains in jailΒ on aΒ $25,000 bond following a court hearing Tuesday, according to the Daily Herald.Β
James N. Trelford, whose last known address wasΒ 105 2nd St inΒ Libertyville, told Vernon HillsΒ police during a a call at 11:08 p.m. on July 20 thatΒ the bombs would detonateΒ in 15 minutes. He later admitted there were no explosives and that he had called policeΒ because he wasΒ angry that a woman he met at the event didn't like him.
Trelford is next expected in court on Aug. 27 and will remain in jail until he pays theΒ 10 percent of his bailΒ required for his release, according to the Daily Herald.Β
