Libertyville Man Accused of Bomb Threat Remains in Jail on $25K Bond

A 48-year-old Libertyville man who is accused of calling police to report he planted three bombs on the Summer Celebration grounds earlier this month remains in jail on a $25,000 bond following a court hearing Tuesday, according to the Daily Herald.
James N. Trelford, whose last known address was 105 2nd St in Libertyville, told Vernon Hills police during a a call at 11:08 p.m. on July 20 that the bombs would detonate in 15 minutes. He later admitted there were no explosives and that he had called police because he was angry that a woman he met at the event didn't like him.
Trelford is next expected in court on Aug. 27 and will remain in jail until he pays the 10 percent of his bail required for his release, according to the Daily Herald.
