Local Company Donates 58,000 Masks To Lake County Health Dept.

Alight Solutions employees and their family members dropped off the masks at the Grand Avenue Health Center in Waukegan Wednesday.

LAKE COUNTY, IL — Employees at a Lake County company focused on technology-enabled health, wealth, HR and finance solutions is leading the charge to protect those on the front lines fighting the coronavirus pandemic. On Wednesday, Lincolnshire-based Alight Solutions donated over 58,000 protective masks to the Lake County Health Department, according to a news release sent to Patch. The donation will be used by those impacted by the virus and those working to reduce its spread, according to the company.

Anyone who has protective equipment to donate to medical professionals and emergency personnel was asked to email PPE.Donations@Illinois.gov with details about what is available. The Illinois Manufacturers Association is also asking those with the ability to donate or provide essential material needed during the COVID-19 to respond to an online survey to connect supplies with needs.
