The Myra Rubenstein Weis (MRW) Health Resource Center held its sold-out 28th Annual Benefit Luncheon, "Getting Personal About Breast Health," on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at Exmoor Country Club in Highland Park.
The Luncheon, which included a silent auction and raffle, featured an engaging panel of experts moderated by Gabrielle Cummings, who is President of Endeavor Health Evanston Hospital and Senior Operations Executive for Endeavor Health's NorthShore hospitals. The event's panel, which included Allison DePersia, MD; Catherine Pesce, MD; Poornima Saha, MD; and Georgia Spear, MD, focused on breast cancer screening, diagnosis and treatment.
Catherine Pesce, MD, FACS, who is Division Chief of Surgical Oncology at Endeavor Health, was this year's honoree.

The funds raised this year support a Lake Country Health Department initiative to provide mammograms to the under-served and under-insured, the Myra Rubenstein Weis Living in the Future (LIFE) Cancer Survivorship Program - including its MRW Survivorship 1010 Seminar series: Thrivership, as well as a host of community-based initiatives.
