New D128 Administrator is a D127 Transplant
Rita Fischer, current assistant superintendent of curriculum and instruction at Grayslake Community High School District 127, has just been hired to take on the same position in Community High School District 128.

The District 128 Board of Education has named Rita Fischer, Ed.D its new assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction, effective July 1. Fischer currently holds the same position in Grayslake District 127.
"Rita is highly regarded for her instructional leadership work and positive working relationships with teachers, administrators and staff to ensure student growth and increase student achievement," said District 128 Superintendent Prentiss Lea. "She is an outstanding leader, and will be a great addition to the D128 leadership team."
Fischer brings more than 20 years of educational experience to the position, having worked as assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction, associate principal of curriculum and instruction, social studies department chair, and social studies teacher in District 127 since 1992. In addition, Fischer has extensive experience as a conference and workshop speaker.

Fischer holds a BA in interdisciplinary social sciences from Barat College, an MA in curriculum and instruction from Barat College, an MS in educational administration from Northern Illinois University, and an Ed.D. in educational leadership from National–Louis University.
