Route 45 Resurfacing Begins Thursday
The resurfacing of Route 45 will affect Vernon Hills, Mundelein, Indian Creek and Lincolnshire.
Motorists traveling through Vernon Hills should be aware that an Illinois Department of Transportation project to resurface Route 45 gets underway on Thursday, July 18, according to the village.
Traffic will temporarily be reduced to one lane, which spells a huge headache, so you may want to start thinking of an alternate route.
Drivers are urged to pay close attention to the signs in the work zones, obey the posted speed limits and be on the alert for workers and equipment.
The project is anticipated to be completed by Nov. 15.
