Teen dies after swimming at Vernon Hills High School
The death appears to have been from natural causes, according to the county coroner's office.
On Wednesday night, a 17-year-old high school student was found unresponsive on the locker room floor after swimming, according to the Vernon Hills Review.
Josh Church attended Warren Township High School, but he participated in an aquatics club, which used the pool at Vernon Hills High School.
Police and emergency medical personnel arrived just before 8 p.m. on Wednesday. Church was transported to Advocate Condell Medical Center, but he did not survive.

The Lake County Coroner's Office said an autopsy was performed on Thursday morning and no signs of drowning, drugs or alcohol were found.
