3-Car Crash In Western Springs; Door Cut To Save Person: Cops

A person was taken to the hospital and later released.

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL – A three-car crash occurred Tuesday afternoon at 46th Street and Wolf Road, Western Springs police said.

A driver traveling west on 46th turned south on Wolf, hitting a car, village spokesperson Selmin Cicek said in an email to Patch. One of the stopped cars was then struck by a third car, she said.

The local fire department removed one of the drivers by cutting the car door, Cicek said. The person was taken to La Grange Hospital and later released, she said.
