Another Car Burglary Added to Growing List in Western Springs
Six cars have been burglarized and one has been stolen since July 25 in the village.

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL — Police announced July 26 five cars have been burglarized and one has been stolen in the village since July 25, but they might have spoken too soon, since another car burglary has been added to the list.
The newly reported car burglary took place between 9 p.m. July 25 and 2:30 p.m. July 26 in the 800 block of Elm Street, according to Western Springs police.
Western Springs residents are asked to call 9-1-1 about suspicious activity. If anyone has any information about these crimes, contact the Western Springs Investigative Division at (708) 246-8540.

Of the first five reported car burglaries, two took place between 9 p.m. July 25 and 7 a.m. July 26 in the 5000 block of Lawn Avenue.
Two other car burglaries took place between 9 p.m. July 25 and 7 a.m. July 26 in the 5000 block of Woodland Avenue, and one happened between 9 p.m. July 25 and 7 a.m. on July 26 in the 5100 block of Central Avenue, police reported.

The car theft occurred between 8 p.m. July 26 and 8 a.m. July 26 in the 800 block of Elm Street. The car thief got into the car through an unlocked door and found the keys on the center console.
