Another Ridgewood Water Update Provided by Western Springs

However the latest notification is not exactly the easiest to understand for us non-water-industry folks.

The Village of Western Springs issued its latest Ridgewood subdivision water update Wednesday, but it's not exactly a crystal clear message for those of us not in the water industry.

It reads:

Sodium Hydroxide and corrosion inhibitor permanent chemical feed systems came online on October 11th. These control systems will allow the water plant to better control the water's pH and the Langelier saturation index.

Operators will be adjusting these levels over the next several weeks to observe improvements in the water output chemistry.

Anyone want to take a shot at explaining this in a simpler way? Do it in the comments!
