Directors' Workshop Program Produces Two One-Act Comedies
The Theatre of Western Springs presents performances Jan. 8-10.

Western Springs, IL - The Directors’ Workshop program presents two one-act comedies on Jan. 8 at 8 p.m., Jan. 9 at 8 p.m. and Jan. 10 at 7:30 p.m. in the Cattell Theatre.

“Wooed and Viewed” by Georges Feydeau is directed by Daina Giesler featuring Tim Gannon and Lori B. Proksa.
“Wanda’s Visit” by Christopher Durang is directed by Angelee Johns featuring Tricia Boren, Carrie Cerri, Jim McBride, Rick Pavia and Mike Williams.

Tom Schutt is Stage Manager; Cal Turner is Lighting Designer and John Brackett is Sound Designer.
No tickets are required, but donations will be gratefully accepted.
Ed Wavak, Chair of the Directors’ Workshop Program, said, “We are producing two clever comedies from two different periods to kick off 2016. They are some of the best examples of how playwrights Durang and Feaydeau entertain an audience.”
In “Wooed and Viewed” Emma, one of Hector’s neighbors whom he doesn’t know, comes to visit with an unusual request. Meanwhile Hector is in the middle of his own crisis.
In “Wanda’s Visit,” Wanda, Jim’s old flame, shows up to visit Jim and his wife Marsha and the chaos begins.
The Theatre of Western Springs is located at the corners of Hampton Ave. and Hillgrove Ave., Western Springs.
