Final 'Slaughterhouse Five' Shows This Weekend at TWS

See what's going on this weekend in the Western Springs area.

The Theatre of Western Springs will stage the final few performances of Slaughterhouse Five this weekend, with tickets available for performances Thursday night, Friday night, Saturday afternoon, Saturday night and Sunday afternoon, according to TWS' website.

The show is based on the well-known book by Kurt Vonnegut.

"Slaughterhouse-Five introduces us to Billy Pilgrim, a man who becomes a time traveler after he is abducted by aliens," the theatre's description reads. "We follow Pilgrim simultaneously through all phases of his life as he stumbles through life and death, concentrating on his shattering experience as an American prisoner of war who witnesses the firebombing of Dresden. Oh, and then there is his experience on the planet Tralfamadore. We won't even go there."

Slaughterhouse Five is TWS' 500th show.
