Western Springs' early settlers were eager to call the village home. You can win prizes if you write an essay explaining why you call Western Springs home, too.

Did you know that many of the first settlers in Western Springs came from other countries such as Sweden and Germany? They came to the United States looking for a better life, more space, and a chance to live the American Dream. Many of these immigrants loved Western Springs enough to settle here and build the village, which is now 125 years old.

So, what do you love about Western Springs?  Why do you love to live here? Write an essay in 500 words or less, and you could be a winner.
