La Grange Man Dies During Wisconsin Triathlon
The Calumet County Sheriff's Department is investigating the death of Doug Witmer, 42, who died during a triathlon in Wisconsin on Saturday morning.
Officials are still investigating the death of a La Grange man who they said drowned on Saturday morning during a triathlon in Wisconsin.
Doug Witmer, 42, is believed to have drowned during the competetition, the Chicago Tribune reported.
Witmer was swimming in Lake Winnebago as part of the High Cliff Triathlon at High Cliff State Park in Sherwood. According to ABC7 News, Witmer is believed to have drowned shortly before 8 a.m. on Saturday.
