Western Springs Area Restaurants Make Michelin Guide's Bib Gourmands List

Two restaurants in La Grange and one in Hinsdale were put on the list meant to highlight "quality food at a reasonable price."

Three restaurants nearΒ Western SpringsΒ are among the best places to go in the Chicago area to get a reasonably pricedΒ meal, according to the soon-to-be-released Michelin Guide ChicagoΒ 2014.

Hinsdale's Nabuki and La Grange's Q BBQ and Kama Indian Bistro are on theΒ on the 69-restaurantΒ Michelin's Bib Gourmands list, which highlights eateries where customers can getΒ two courses and a glass of wine or dessert for $40 or less before tax, according to a Michelin release posted online.

"While the famous Michelin stars remain the most celebrated international distinction in the Michelin Guide, the Bib Gourmand is a highly desired honor among restaurateurs and one that is recognized by the many people who covet quality food at a reasonable price," the release states.

Nabuki owner Peter BurdiΒ was proud to receive the recognition for the first time.

"We want to thank Michelin for the honor and Chef Juan [Perez]Β and all of the staff for all their hard work," Burdi said in a text message Thursday.

Nabuki, Q BBQ and KamaΒ Indian Bistro areΒ joined on the Bib Gourmands list by a number of well-knownΒ Chicago eateries, including Girl & The Goat, Frontera GrillΒ and The Purple Pig.Β 

Other west-suburban restaurant on the list areΒ Marion Street Cheese Market and Sen in Oak ParkΒ and Autre Monde in Berwyn.
