Police Blotter: Three Stolen Bikes, Two Illegal Drivers

Here's the Western Springs police blotter from Sep. 7 through Sep. 13.

Incidents/Reports

Tuesday, Sep. 7, 8:01 p.m.: A bike valued at $700 was stolen from a bicycle rack at the Western Springs Train Station sometimes between 7:30 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.

Friday, Sep. 10, 7:30 p.m.: Someone stole an unattended boy's bike from a driveway on the 5100 block of Fair Elms Avenue sometime between 4:45 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. The bike was valued at approximately $320.

Saturday, Sep. 11, 11:53 a.m.: A $300 bike locked to a rack at St. John of the Cross School was stolen sometime between 8:30 a.m. on Friday and 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.

Tuesday, Sep. 7, 10:05 a.m.: Pavel Roedl, 32, of 4202 Kilpatrick Avenue, Chicago, was charged with driving without a valid license after being stopped for having a broken windshield at the corner of Ogden and Franklin.

Sunday, Sep. 12, 7:39 a.m.: Kyle B. Vervynck, of 10816 Chaucer Drive, Willow Springs, was involved in a two-vehicle crash at the 3900 block of Hampton Avenue. An officer smelled alcohol on Vervynck's breath, performed field sobriety tests and arrested him for DUI.
