Riverside Police Launch Instagram Account

Riverside, IL - Riverside Police Department announces the launch of its newest social media platform - Instagram.

The Riverside Police Department has an Instagram account, which allows the public to better connect with the department like never before.

“Social media has proven to be an effective tool for law enforcement agencies to share more about our activities and provide valuable information to the community. We are excited to reach the public we serve in various ways and this site will help us do just that”, said Riverside Police Chief Thomas Weitzel.

Posts will include traditional media events, crime/safety alerts, Riverside Police Department programs, various activities, and community outreach efforts and include wanted posters, crime videos (for wanted individuals) and photos of people wanted on warrants or for active criminal investigations by Riverside Police Department.
