Rumor Addressed: Western Springs Veterans Post
The commander spoke about "a little story" that may be going around.

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL – The commander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars post in Western Springs said this week he wanted to address "a little story" that may be going around town.
"There may have been a rumor that maybe some people have heard," Commander Chuck Bosko told the Western Springs Village Board on Monday. "People thought the post was going by the wayside."
Younger veterans, Bosko said, are starting to attend the post's meetings at Grace Lutheran Church on Wolf Road.

"I think they're going to be instrumental and very involved in the post to move it forward," said Bosko, a Vietnam veteran.
He said the rumor affects Western Springs' Memorial Day parade, which the post organizes.

He thanked village officials and the police and fire departments for their support of the parade.
"We depend on the sponsorship that helps it come about," he said.
