Thomas Ford Library Temporarily Closed Through Dec. 7

Press release from the Village of Western Springs:

The Library is temporarily closed from November 23rd to December 7th.

Due to staff exposure to COVID-19 and out of an abundance of caution, the library will be closed to the public from 11/23-12-7. During that time, no materials will be due and all holds will be suspended.

As part of our commitment to the health and safety of the library staff and the public, we are taking all steps necessary to minimize the impact of this exposure on the library. The infected staff member has not had any recent contact with library patrons. All library employees who have had contact with the affected employee are following the quarantine recommendations of the CDC and Department of Health. We are implementing a deep cleaning and disinfection of the building as recommended by the CDC, OSHA, and the Department of Public Health.

We apologize for any inconvenience. These are challenging times and we must work together to keep our community safe and healthy. We look forward to seeing you again.
