LRS will collect Christmas trees from parkways for composting, between January 4 - January 15, 2021. Stickers will not be required for trees during this time period. Plastic trees, wreaths, garland, or other Christmas decorations will not be accepted. LRS asks residents to remove all decorations and lights, and to ensure trees are not wrapped in plastic. Trees collected before or after the dates above will be taken as regular waste, and will require a refuse sticker.

Styrofoam Recycling:

Monthly Styrofoam collection takes place on Saturday, January 2 in the Recreation Center parking lot, from 9 am – noon. Separated clean, dry, block foam and food containers will be accepted. No shiny non-rip foam or ‘peanuts’ (Pack, Wrap & Send in Garden Market will accept these). Please remain in your car and volunteers will unload your trunk.

Holiday Light Recycling:

Strands of lights may be placed in drop boxes (no bags, or additional boxes, please) until January 31 at Village Hall, Village True Value Hardware, and Thomas Ford Memorial Library.
