Weekend's Cold Snap Not Forecast to Continue
The surprising sudden chill that struck the Lyons Township area on Sunday is predicted to wear off; Tuesday's temperature may approach 80.

The autumnal equinox arrived this past weekend to bring a screeching halt to summer with a sudden cold snap as night temperatures dropped to around 35 degrees. And after the broiling last few months we've had, one can be forgiven for perhaps being caught off guard!
But take heart: it's still September, not November, and it's not going to get all that cold quite that fast. Temperatures will be balmy again for the coming week (even rather warm on Tuesday), and the skies look moderate and fairly friendly as well.
