Western Springs Police Reports: Bike Theft, Driving Without License

Western Springs Police Department provided crime and arrest information through May 31.

The information in the following reports is courtesy of the Western Springs Police Department.

A locked bike was reported stolen May 18 from the train station at Burlington and Grand avenues.

Jackson Jr., Donald T. Jackson Jr., 37 of the 2100 block of S. 18th Avenue in Broadview, was stopped May 25 for a loud/defective muffler in the 5000 block of Grand Avenue. A records check confirmed defendant was driving with a suspended license.

Robert A. Cooper, 47 of the 100 block of Cascade Drive in Indian Head Park, was stopped May 26 for driving a car with suspended registration plates at 39th Street and Wolf Road. He was also driving with a suspended license.

Nitza D. Morales, 23 of the 2500 block of W. 57th Street in Chicago, was stopped May 27 for driving a car with improper display of registration at 55th Street and Wolf Road. A records check confirmed she was driving without a license.

Someone stole an unlocked men’s bicycle May 24 that was left unattended on a bike rack at Lyons Township South High School. The theft reportedly occurred between 7:40 and 11:25 a.m. The stolen bike was valued at $450.
