Western Springs Police Reports: DUI, Suspended License

The information in the following reports is courtesy of the Western Springs Police Department.

John N. Oben-Epey, 30 of the 100 block of W. 19th Street in Chicago Heights, was stopped May 2 in the 5000 block of Fair Elms Avenue for operating a vehicle with an expired registration sticker. A records check confirmed he was also driving with a suspended license.

Kelley H. Pohl, 41 of the 3800 block of Woodland Avenue, was driving a car that hit another car from behind May 9 at Gilbert and Ogden Avenues. Upon police arrival, the arresting officer smelled a strong odor of alcoholic beverage on her breath. She was offered and performed a series of field sobriety tests and was subsequently charged with DUI, no insurance and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. There were no reported injuries.
