Western Springs Porch Piracy Suspect Arrested

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL – A man was arrested last week in Western Springs on a theft charge related to porch piracy in a local neighborhood, police said.

The 35-year-old Chicago Heights man is accused in connection with the theft of a package on Aug. 26 in the 4100 block of Grand Avenue. Patch has filed a public records request for the full police report.

In another case, Western Springs police said an unlocked bicycle was stolen from a bike rack Aug. 23 at Lyons Township High School's South Campus.
