On-street parking is no longer permitted after a snowfall of 2 inches or more – a change from the previous measure of 4 inches. Public Works crews begin plowing streets when 2 inches of snow has accumulated, and previous restrictions required crews to constantly avoid vehicles parked on
the street, and re-visit areas until 4 inches of accumulation occurred. Changes to the
minimum were made to allow for more efficient plowing during snow events. While the new restrictions were in effect last winter, they were not yet enforced.
Street signage has been updated throughout the Village, and the Department of Law Enforcement will enforce the new restrictions going forward.
