Western Springs Restaurant Closes
The eatery posted a sign saying its employees needed jobs.
WESTERN SPRINGS, IL – A restaurant in Western Springs closed its doors earlier this month after three years in business.
Hash Stacks Cafe & Market, 909 Burlington Ave., opened in 2019. It was in the spot of the former Salty Fig restaurant.
At one point this month, a handwritten sign on the restaurant read, "We are permanently closed. The staff you know and love are in need of a job." It was dated Nov. 17.

At another point, a handwritten sign on the restaurant said it would be closed Nov. 18 to Nov. 22.
"We are sorry for any inconvenience," the sign said.

The restaurant's Google listing indicates it is temporarily closed.
The restaurant's website and Facebook page give no signs that the eatery has shut its doors.
Patch left a message for comment with the restaurant Wednesday morning.
