Western Springs Restaurant Opening Date Revealed

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL – A new Western Springs restaurant, Ella's Italian Pub, plans to open March 12.

That date was revealed by a restaurant representative at the Village Board's meeting Monday. It was during a discussion of the eatery's liquor license.

Ella's is moving into 4471 Lawn Ave., where the longtime Vie Restaurant was.

Vie closed last year, citing "irreconcilable differences and dissatisfaction with our landlord." But it is expected to reopen with a slightly different name in another spot in Western Springs.

Ella's is part of a group of Ella's and Gia Mia restaurants in Elmhurst, Downers Grove, Wheaton, Geneva and Naperville.

Ella's Italian Pub's website says the restaurant offers Italian pub-style food along with an extensive wine list.
