WESTERN SPRINGS, IL – The Rotary Club of Western Springs has re-elected G. Grant Dixon III to serve as its President for 2024-2025 year. Also re-elected were Barbara Kartzmark as Secretary and Robby Bartholomai as Treasurer. Rotary is the oldest and largest service organization in the world. β€œThis is an exciting time in Western Springs and the life of our club,” Grant said. The Rotary Club of Western Springs is the lead sponsor of the new pickleball facility being built in Spring Rock Park. β€œOur club wanted to do something that would be impactful for the community. We knew that partnering with Spring Rock Park gave us a unique opportunity to do that,” Grant said.

Pickleball is the fastest growing sport in the US and Western Springs has a vibrant community of players. The Western Springs Rotary Pickleball Center will be located on the west side of Spring Rock Park. There will be eight courts, a clock, benches, and areas for gathering. The courts have already obtained approval from the Village and are slated to open in June. Grant continued, β€œwe are also selling custom bricks for community members to purchase. The bricks will be laid at the entrance of the pickleball center for all to see.” Proceeds from bricks will help fund the courts.
