Where Lyons Township High Grads Are Heading

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL – Nearly all Lyons Township High School's graduates have revealed their plans in a survey.

The school's graduation was Wednesday. The school reported 957 graduates.

According to a news release, 98 percent of the graduates have notified the school of their educational and career plans after high school.

The survey showed 96 percent will go to two-year or four-year colleges, technical schools, apprenticeships, transition programs or the military.

Students have reported they will attend 188 different colleges and technical schools in 37 states, plus Canada, Colombia, Greece, Scotland, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom.

Based on the scholarships and awards turned in by May 2, the class of 2025 reported that its students will use $22.5 million of the $36.6 million offered, according to the news release.

The school said 25 of the graduates placed among the top 50,000 seniors in the nation by their performance on the National Merit test.
